Has there ever been a time that the ladybug has not been popular with girls and women alike? For generations, women of all ages have loved the ladybug, as it has a simple understated elegance, charm and beauty. In the ladybug we have nothing short of a work of art crafted lovingly by nature! Phrased another way, what’s not to love?
Ladybug clothing and accessories have been a popular choice with girls and women. This is due, in part, to the natural beauty and contrasting red and black colors of the ladybug design. Yet, one has to wonder if there isn’t more to the ladybug’s enduring success than just its natural beauty. After all, all sorts of insects and creatures of nature are beautiful and yet do not enjoy the popularity of the ladybug. So why are you so popular Miss Ladybug?
One reason, of course, is the name, “ladybug.” Having the word “lady” in its name automatically means that ladybugs will be associated with the fairer sex. (Never mind that there must be at least a few male ladybugs, but that is another story altogether.)
Another reason that the ladybug is so popular is the artistic, flowing and beautiful geometry of its body. The subtle lines and curves invoke the lines of curves of the female form. Further, the ladybug also invokes an air of harmlessness that further underscores its association with all things feminine.
Of course, there is another reason that the ladybug is such a consummate charmer, as the ladybug has the freedom to fly away at a moments notice. This element of flight, when coupled with its intrinsic beauty, makes the ladybug an iconic creature that women of all ages will instantly be drawn towards. In short, ladybug clothing continues to be extremely popular as this little insect appears to be imbued with magic.
This magic translates well toward our Ladybug T-Jack as well as our signature character Lovely Ladybug. We realized just how much little girls love ladybugs and that made the decision to have a ladybug clothing featured in our collection was a rather easy one. Besides just imagine how cute your little princess will look wearing her Ladybug T-Jack or snuggling up with her Lovely Ladybug t-shirt for a nap!
